QR App Privacy Policy

The QR Code Generator mobile app ("we" or "the App", package com.saidtechnology.qrgenerator) is a QR code generator and scanner. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use the App. We do not collect your data or store it on our servers.

1. Data We Process Locally

All QR code generation and scanning happens entirely on your device. Any text, link, or other data you enter stays on your device and is not sent to us or to any other server. There is no account, no sign-up, and no cloud sync. The App keeps your generation history and images only on your device, and you can clear your history at any time from within the App.

2. Permissions

We request only the following permissions and use them solely for the stated purposes:

  • Camera: Used only to scan QR codes. Camera images are not saved or uploaded anywhere; the frame is processed locally at scan time and then discarded.
  • Photo library / photo picker: Used only when you pick a logo or image to add to a QR code. The image you select is read locally and composited into the code on your device; it is not uploaded to any server.

3. Advertising and User Consent (AdMob / UMP)

We show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use the advertising ID, IP address, and ad data to serve personalized ads. We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent before showing any personalized advertising, in line with GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws. You can change your choice at any time from within the App or from Google settings.

4. Cookies and Analytics

The App does not use cookies. Ad networks (such as AdMob) may collect anonymized data about your ad interactions according to their own policies.

5. Security

Because data processing happens locally on your device, you keep full control over your data. Any remaining ad-related data follows Google's security practices.

6. Children's Privacy

By default, non-personalized (family-safe) ads are served where applicable, and the App requires no registration. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Since we do not collect your data and never store it on our servers, you can exercise your rights through system tools: manage camera and photo permissions from your device settings, clear the App history, and manage your Google ad preferences. For any privacy-related inquiry, contact us anytime.
